I don't know when I'll post days 4-15 because I still have to write them and I'm going away for a week, so, if I don't have any more posts tonight, expect a lot the weekend I come back, hopefully ;)

SANTA BABY. It had been one day since Jared had believed Jensen to be cheating on him and in that one day, Jensen had known instantly that in order for Jared to stop believing he was being cheated on; Jensen needed to do something big. Once Jared had gone to bed for the night, Jensen had made some phone calls in the bathroom (not knowing that Jared was awake and steadily feeling worse about himself), asking for Chad and Tom to take Jared out for the day so Jensen could surprise the younger man. He was extremely thankful that they agreed and Jared, having been gone for five hours already, would be back at any moment and Jensen was extremely thankful that he had just put the finishing touches onto the Christmas tree.
Jensen was also not an idiot. Nope, not an idiot at all. He remembered Jared talking about how he always set his tree up a certain way - the same way his mother set the tree up when Jared was growing up - and Jensen had called Sherry, asking her for instructions, telling her everything.
Needless to say, Jared’s mother was absolutely thrilled and had given him step-by-step instructions on how to set up the Christmas tree, while playing one of Jared’s favourite songs and how to bake the Christmas candy bars he loved so much. When Jensen had asked if Sherry thought if Jared would mind his own touches (mainly some traditions his own family had) and then told them to her, she had been absolutely delighted, shrieking into the phone over how well Jensen was taking care of her baby boy, which just made him laugh and hope Jared would be happy again, especially since it was the month of his favourite holiday.
As Jensen stood back and away from the tree, he couldn’t help but be extremely proud over the fact that he had managed to pull something this large-scaled off by himself. He grinned, and looked around the room, absolutely glowing with the tinsel, stockings and images of their families, friends and each other that Jensen had found, decorated and put up for show.
After staring at the living area for a few minutes, Jensen grins before heading towards the kitchen and taking out the squares. They smell absolutely delicious and they’re cool enough for Jensen to put onto the table in a nice little organized pile.
It’s once Jensen’s changed out of his messy cooking clothes and put something nice on that he hears Jared put his lock in the door and really starts to get nervous. Everything he’s planned for the rest of his life (you know, spending it with Jared) hinges on Jared loving this setup and listening to Jensen when they talk, because admittedly, Jensen is becoming really annoyed with Jared skittering around him and being all unsure and hesitant. It might’ve been cute if it was just the hesitancy and skittering, and they weren’t in a long term relationship but just beginning to flirt, but they’re not and Jensen’s tiring of it and just wants his boy back in bed keeping him warm. Jensen rushes to the door and pats himself down, making sure that he’s all nice and pretty (and god, if he wasn’t so in love with Jared, he’d kill him for making him so in love that he said that!), and when he sees the door open, he puts on a smile, making sure not to overkill it by too much.
When Jared enters, his head is down as he fumbles with the keys, muttering with them like he’s had a rough day and god Jensen just hopes this will cheer Jared up. He takes a few minutes to look Jared up and down, noticing how snug his clothes are on his boyfriend and god, he just wants to grab Jared and fuck him against the wall. He sighs, shakes his head and continues to smile until Jared looks up and looks at him completely confused. Jared looks cute with his face all scrunched up face and Jensen really just wants to kiss the frown lines on his face away, but he needs to take things slow.
“Jensen?” He asks and Jensen smiles before grabbing his boyfriend’s hands and holding Jared.
“I know you feel like I’ve been cheating on you because of the mall yesterday, but you need to understand how much I love you, Jay,” Jensen says, taking Jared’s face in his hands and peppering kisses all over him. He hears Jared sigh and stops, looking at him with open eyes.
“Jen, you need to tell me everything about that guy because if you don’t I’m going to keep freaking out and I need to know the truth about it all because I’m in love with you Jensen and if you’re cheating on me I’m just going to die because of a broken heart and I just-“
“Jared, breath,” Jensen laughs, stroking his cheek. Jared does so and looks up at Jensen with those wide eyes of his and even without them Jensen would have told Jared everything.
“He’s an ex-boyfriend of mine. And by ex-boyfriend, I mean, we dated all the way in the ninth grade for a few months before I realized he was using me, and shortly after, he became my friend, but nothing serious. We lost track of one another, thank god, and I never thought of him again. Until we bumped into each other yesterday. He asked me out but I told him I was in a relationship with someone I loved. He understood and asked what I was doing, and when I told him I was buying you a gift, he realized how serious I was. So, we were heading over to the store I was going to and then his son came along, got all confused and then we bumped into you.” Jensen smiles, kissing Jared lightly on the lips before looking into his eyes.
“Jared, I love you. I’m going to love you forever and won’t ever hurt you. Have faith in me, even if the faith in your past makes it harder.” Jensen begs and he sees Jared smile, before nodding his head and kissing Jensen back. Jensen smiles into the kiss, holding onto Jared’s hips tightly and thrusting into them. He hears Jared moan and steps away with another smile and shakes his head.
“Get back here,” He hears Jared groan and Jensen laughs before shaking his head.
“No can do, love, I’ve got a surprise for you.” He watches as Jared perks up and laughs at his love before taking Jared’s hand and walking him over to their living room. He feels nervous for what’s going to happen but goes on, his hands sweating with nerves.
When he hears Jared gasp, his heart speeds up and he stands completely still, watching while frozen as Jared’s eyes go wide and he takes everything in, a smile as bright as the sun on his face. Jensen bites his lip, and when Jared turns around, Jensen just wants to run away but before he can, Jared is right in front of him, kissing him so openly, pouring all of his emotions into that one kiss that Jensen just feels complete astonishment at it. He kisses Jared back, putting his hands on Jared’s face and caressing his cheek, feeling the warmth blossom through his veins, feeling incredibly happy.
“I love it, Jen,” Jared whispers, pulling away from the kiss and giving him an Eskimo kiss, which just made Jensen laugh in delight, absolutely thrilled that Jared loves his surprised.
“You do? Because, I was so afraid that you wouldn’t, and I had to call your mama to make sure I got everything right, especially the recipe for the chip cakes, but I thought you didn’t love me anymore because of some asshole ex that wouldn’t leave me alone and I can’t lose you Jay, I really can’t.” Jensen says all in one breath, trying to not burst at the seams. He notices Jared’s smile and ducks his head, suddenly shy at all that he’s admitted.
“You called my mama?” Jensen nods, a blush deepening his cheeks as he bites his lips.
“And you baked chip cakes for me?” Jensen nods, his blush deepening and when he feels Jared pull his chin up, he can see immediately that his worry is there for no reason, especially when Jared grins even more.
“Aw, baby, you baked for me,” he says grinning, causing Jensen to slap him on the shoulder, huffing. Jared laughs with him, stroking his cheek before turning sincere.
“Thank you so much for this, Jensen. I fucking love it.”
