Forgive me if I am missing something, but is there a meaning to the *'s preceding some, but not all entries? It doesn't match to any of the other obvious dimensions. Leftover from some formatting maybe?

If we have to move to a phase two because we couldn't get enough people on our concom, those are the positions that we will likely still need to do a much, much smaller event. So it's nothing to really think about for now, but was useful for us to keep on.

Echoing the above "forgive me if I am missing something", but it'd also be useful if the actual dates of the convention were listed somewhere (it's neither in this post nor anywhere readily findable on the website.)

We don't have a date set. That is one of the things the concom must figure out. As a beginning con we don't have a history of doing things a particular time, and so we need to figure that out. We had a few comments about not liking when we had it last year (although we didn't have any other weekends to choose from), so one of the first orders of business will be choosing a date and coming up with time frames. You can look at our website for when we had it the last two times (both being vaguely in the summer, Mid-June and Mid-July). Obviously Chicago is known for its brutal winter, so that may be one of the times we try to avoid (other things we try to avoid are other sf/f and activist cons and activities).
