I got halfway through the recipe and realised it was bacon soup (the title "Spicy chickpea and bacon soup" should have given me a hint maybe?) and since I've been having ham in my sandwiches from that joint I baked, I didn't want to have bacon in the evening, so I left out the bacon, added more veg and diddled with the spices. I'm just pleased I was able to tell the difference between chilli powder and paprika so I didn't blow my fool head off this time!
Ah well. The excess portioned and frozen so I've got ready meals for the next time I'm knackered.
