Thanks for your insight into pain, Anna. It was very helpful to me. It's also a reminder that once we're hurt, we don't need to keep on hurting. Given enough time, things start to heal...become better. Life's like that, too. It seems that our relationships with others, whether familial, friendships, or romantic, time can heal wounds. Maybe there isn't an emotional antibiotic...some things just heal themselves.

Glad my "poet goes to med school" ruminations helped. What can I say, I'm out to heal. :-p

Have you started school again, or not til Tuesday? Hope the semester gets off to a good start for you!

Not that I want to encourage anyone to go into psychiatrics, from growing up with it, it's a terrible job... but I think you'd be amazing at it. And because of that, I think you're going to be an amazing doctor, because you think about shit like what you wrote about pain. You don't just focus on the physical aspects of anything, and your patients are really going to appreciate that trait of yours.

Thanks, my dear. It always means a lot to me when people that know me really well say that I'm going to be good at this, because its still a really scary thing, especially since the whole four years of more school to do something that you barely get a real chance to discover if you have a talent for til AFTER you're trained...I'm so excited to get to hang out tonight! I'm glad the snow stopped! It can snow after everyone is safely in town. And then it can stop when we have to leave again. :-p Hope you're enjoying your new gym membership, see you later.
