I'm usually okay. Right this second, however--I want sponteneity; to be a little less than perfectly responsible and level headed and practical and dependable. I was thinking about this the other day. I want to go back to Iowa City, grab a beer with my friends who live up there, and just have a good time. Then I get back to what I am doing and I think about the people in the program I'm in. I think about all my friends, they are doing the exact same thing I am doing, making sacrifices to pursue not only their dreams, but their ideals. Then I think about my teachers this semester, especially my composition teacher. He's made this his whole life. He went to the University of Chicago, where some of the greatest minds of all time have gone. I'm surrounded by some of the most brilliant people in this country, if not the world ( ... )

Only, I don't think its good to make ANYTHING your whole life, at least not for me. While its good to be intense when necessary, being perpetually intense isn't what I strive for. Some people can do it. I can't.

Oh, and in response to your test. School is good. I like this semester a LOT more than last semester, because I'm fairly sure they aren't trying to kill us anymore. :-p
