Aww! he is cute!I can't quite imagine your parents getting a dog, but if i did imagine them having one, it would be one like this! The chewing stage is sooooo bad if you like ANY of your possessions, man, when wolfie and velvet (now sadly departed) were puppies they ate absolutely everything we owned!
He looks tremendously fun, hopefully he will have your dad running around fields in an undignified dog chasing way and cause the locals much hilarity :)
We had dog for a long time when I was growing up. They decided to get another one because they moved house, and are going to redecorate a lot, and saw it as the ideal time. He was already semi house-trained though, so apart from the chewing it hasn't been too bad.
They have to leave him in the hallway if no-one else is around, and ensure nothing chewable is there. He loves shoes particularly. He doesn't seem to chew destructively out of boredom, so I suspect he will stop easily enough.
