I used to work on one interagency group and tried to explain it to Captain Legoland at one point. This level of people talking to that level of people from this agency, and that agency, trying to be this better thing...He listened, nodded and finally said "So it's like Homeland Security? But for Fish?"

So I get that what I do makes no sense to most people. But you'll appreciate that in our big staff meeting yesterday, we got introduced to the new editors and tech writers that have just joined the rest of the communications staff and after they introduced themselves, I interrupted my boos to declare "I love you guys! I'm glad there are twice as many of you because now you're twice as awesome!"

Anyone over the age of 5 can write. If you anything at all to come of it, you hand it to a professional. Even good writers can't always write.
