I feel I should have a rant about some things. Mostly the Harry Potter movie.

I hate David Yates, I know hate is a strong word but grrrrrrr!!!!!!!! He completely RUINED it. I'm sorry, but the book was amazing, so many HUGE, HUGE things happen, and yet the film is basically about the Ron / Lavender / Hermione love triangle. It's a fucking soap when ( Read more... )

I'll be seeing the HP movie tomorrow so not one to judge just yet but there's always going to be some shitty parts! It's my fave book though, so Im hoping for the best. And I just wanna see Alan Rickman do his thing tbh...

Hahaha. I was in two minds whether to post about it really because I know a lot of people won't have seen it yet. But it really has pissed me off that much lol, however my friend saw it today and enjoyed it more than me, so don't let it put you off! x

So... Harry Potter film = not so great?

I hate post office staff... So nosy. You should weigh stuff yourself and work out postage on the online calculator thing, it's what I do. Not always accurate, but close enough I find!

lol I know, I normally weigh stuff myself but I just moved out and we don't have scales here yet! Plus I'm never sure what's thin enough to go as large letter, and it all just confuses me. :-p

OH DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED! Everything you said there, I left the cinema moaning about. On top of that, Dumbledore didn't even die in the right way! He was supposed to die infront of the castle, having paralysed Harry underneath the invisibility cloak, so Harry had to stand there completely helpless and watch Dumbledore die - THATS what made it emotional, not the fact that he was killed, the fact that Harry couldn't do anything about it. I actually laughed at Dumbledore falling from the tower because it was so hammed-up and unnecessary. Had they conveyed his death in the right way, there'd be no need for the slow-mo amateur dramatics, it would have been strong enough to hold its own as an emotional scene ( ... )

Yeah that's very true actually, I suppose because they weren't going to bother with a battle or anything, they figured Harry should be able to do SOMETHING lol.

Ughhh it just annoys me how all of it was portrayed, but I agree, particularly the Dumbledore scene. :-(

The fifth film was pretty good but I had only just read the book so it didn't seem great the first time I watched it because of how much it strayed from all the little details that were still fresh in my mind. But I did enjoy it a lot more after that... but I was still worried that Yates would screw this film up, and I'm bitterly disappointed now. :-( I hate, seriously HATE, the fact he's doing the next two films.

Ahhh, the first four films were so good. :-( Funny that Yates had nothing to do with them lol.
