It's amazing how little the U.S. military does to punish its war criminals. Good example: the Haditha Massacre in Iraq, where U.S. Marines killed 24 Iraqis. Of the eight people originally arrested, charges were dropped for six, one was found not guilty, and one managed to get away without jail time.

Actually, it's amazing how little the U.S. military does to punish any of its uniformed gangsters. There's a fucking rape epidemic (longstanding, no doubt) in the military, and pretty much everyone agrees that the military hasn't done shit to address this, but top commanders stilled lined up before congress last week to beg and plead to keep sexual assault cases out of civilian courts.
