Man, everybody's doing "unpopular opinions" because of our favorite "anonymous secret-posting LJ communities" being stupid and failworthy, and I... I don't know if I have opinions at all anymore, I just drift on a sea of oblivion. Well, I'll give this a shot and see what I can do.
-Final Fantasy IV is the best Final Fantasy, and Final Fantasy IV DS is its best rendering.
-FFVII is a good game despite both fanboyism and anti-fanboyism, Cloud is a cool hero because of his mental issues and Sephiroth is badass (regardless of whether he's actually Sephiroth/a clone of Sephiroth/JENOVA in disguise/a highly-evolved species of chicken from the depths of the Planet's core).
-Chrono Cross is better than Chrono Trigger, despite the fact that they are two very different games, each setting to achieve two very different goals. They could have cut like 3/4s of the characters though.
-Dungeons and Dragons' 3.5 Edition has many issues that combine in various ways to make it clunky, chunky, and sometimes utterly unplayable. Despite this, Dungeons and Dragons 4.0, while attempting (and succeeding) at clearing large amounts of both glitches and sploits from the game's inner workings, and endeavoring to make it a more accessible, reasonable experience for people who don't have the inclination to turn numbers into gods... is still somehow not as fun. I have no clue why that is and it bothers me.
-I like Bleach. I like the guys in black suits hopping on rooftops swinging swords at each other, I like the random (often badly rendered) Spanish from evil swordghost people fighting the good swordghost people, I like Orihime (and not solely because of her ridiculous top-heaviness), and I think it's a fun, enjoyable series.
Similarly, I like Naruto.

But yeah, when it's not blowing Sasuke and his TRAGIC DESTINY and his MAGIC EYES OF DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE EVER and the myriad other bullshits that follow the kid around, Naruto actually is a quite entertaining manga about a functional retard with a fox in his stomach and a frog on his shoulder. (seriously, he has frog powers now, shit is so cash.) It could be better--a damn lot better--but what it is can get pretty awesome sometimes.
-Oh shit politics. Here we go for a real unpopular one: I disagree with abortion. Or rather, I haven't seen an argument that's convinced me that it's not ending the life of something that otherwise would become a human being in most cases. Whether or not there's a moral justification for that act is another question entirely, but what's wrong with owning up to what you're doing?
-speaking of which, screw the death penalty. Let them live and suffer.

-I like rap music. ...no, that's not controversial enough. I like Soulja Boy Tell'em. Well, not his new song, that's dumb, but his first album is hilarious tight.
