That's good to hear.

I don't understand the whole "OMG, you want Xanax?" and why it's such a big deal giving it out. It really helps with temporary anxiety-provoking situations like this.

I know. I really don't get it. Even my therapist, who is one of the most moderate people I know when it comes to medication, didn't understand why Kaiser wouldn't OK prescribing me even .5 milligrams (or whatever the smallest dose is) of Xanax or valium.

I can't believe he wouldn't give you any Xanax or something similar. one or two tablets taken once isn't going to cause addiction. What an ass!

Well, he was just upholding Kaiser policy, so I'm not really going to blame him. It's the policy that's the issue, not the person enforcing it.
