some rooftop action for Teppic

There was something refreshing about standing on top of a building, by herself, no one else to worry about or bother her. She hadn't had a solo mission in way too long. Before going in, Sarah checked to make sure that the tracking device she had placed on the target hadn't moved. And it hadn't. Good. She slipped the GPS into the case clipped to her ( Read more... )

Teppic wasn't doing much except checking out the city - it was just for fun, more than anything else, and jumped from one rooftop to the next, moving almost silently. He arrived on the same rooftop as Sarah with a very, very soft 'thud', and wondered if she'd notice him. Sarah was very on her guard. A mission could go wrong at any second, and she had to pay attention to every little detail or risk being caught or worse. So while the sound of Teppic landing on the roof was soft enough to dismiss as nothing, Sarah immediately drew her gun and pointed it in the direction the sound had come from.

At first, she thought it might have just been a shadow. But then she heard a nearly-inaudible footstep and knew she had company. Keeping her gun trained on where she thought Teppic was, she circled around him almost silently, wondering why the hell he was up here interfering with her mission.

He spotted her pointing what he presumed to be a weapon, and froze, holding his hands up, "I mean no harm." He sounded relatively calm, though, and was glad that he'd been right about thinking she'd spot him. That meant he was at least prepared.

"Then what are you doing here?" Sarah was outwardly calm too, but inside she was getting irritated. This guy might have no connection to the target, but how could she trust that? She'd have to subdue him before she could proceed.
