# 8 Babies - Thirty for Three
Miriallia Joule-Elthman walked through her backdoor to be greeted by one of her favorite sites in the entire world. Through the kitchen door she could see into the living room where she had a full view of the couch and its occupants. Yzak was sitting with his feet propped up on the footrest of the couch and Dearka was laying sideways on the rest of it with his back firmly pressed to Yzak's side. She could see Yzak running his fingers through Dearka's thick blond hair with the hand closest to him. She set her purse down on the kitchen table and just stood in the doorway watching them.
"Are you going to just stand there all day, or are you going to come in here?" Dearka called lazily over his shoulder. "I was just admiring the view." Milly headed into the living room gladly. "Did you enjoy your lunch with Lacus?" Yzak asked her before tugging her down into his lap. Dearka had to quickly move out the way before she sat on him. "Hey, that was my spot!" he pouted. Milly giggled when Yzak just gave him one of his looks, "get over it, I found someone more interesting." He proceeded to nuzzle the side of her neck and make her laugh even more. "Whatever, that is so not what you were saying earlier..." Dearka smirked at him suggestively. Yzak flushed bright red at his comment, he was always so easy to bait. Dearka moved up to take his turn kissing Milly, pushing Yzak even further into the couch. It was a weight he definetly didn't mind though. "Lunch was good, we tried that new little bistro down on mainstreet, and then we went to find a birthday present for Cagalli, and then I left for my appointment." She smiled as she recounted her day, she liked being able to get out and spend time with her friends, Lacus was always so busy that she didn't get to go out very much. "How was the appointment?" Dearka asked quietly, they had really wanted to go with her for her appointment, but she had insisted on going by herself. "It was good, Dr. Moreno said everything was going just like it should, and that I didn't have anything to worry about." she reassured them. She had known that they would be waiting patiently for her when she got home.
Yzak grinned at her, "of course you are fine, why wouldn't you be?" "We did find out one thing though, that we weren't expecting." she was still smiling, but now it was more reserved, as if she wasn't sure how this news would be received. "Weren't expecting, what do you mean? There's not anything wrong right, you said everything was fine?" Dearka tried to keep the note of panic from his voice as he questioned her, but it was hard.
"Nothing is wrong, I already told you that, it was just unexpected thats all." She kissed him reassuringly and reached for the purse she set on the coffee table when she was pulled into Yzak's lap. "If she said nothing is wrong, then we should listen to her, she wouldn't tell us something that wasn't true." Yzak tried to reason with the other man, he could tell he was about to over-react. "Thank you Yzak." Milly appreciated him trying to keep him calm, she was nervous enough as it was.
She dug a string of paper out of her purse and took a deep breath before unfolding it so both men could see it. She didn't say anything and just waited for them to realize what they were looking at. Yzak caught on first, she could tell from his quick intake of breath and the tightened grip on her waist. "Is that what I think it is?" he asked quietly, the barely veiled excitement apparent in his voice. "This is...This is... our baby?" Dearka asked in awe. "No...not quite." she answered, she loved the amazement she could here in his voice. "No, but I thought that is what you were going to the doctor for, and that is what this looks like." he was confused. "No you idiot, look closer." Yzak smirked at him. Dearka brought the slip of paper closer to his face and looked at it closely. They could tell the moment that he realized what he was looking at. "Oh, oh my god, is that? Oh wow." Milly couldn't stop smiling now, that was just the reaction she was hoping for. "Yep, babies. We are going to have twins." She barely caught the look that they gave each other over her head, but she could tell that it was one that said they were both just fine with this new turn of events.
