When you buy the CD, Jonathan Larson's father has a really indepth summary of the show, pretty much exactly like there is with the Rent booklet thing in the CD. It includes all the songs in the summary. I'm just too tired to type it up right now :-)

Yeah, I saw it when it came to Philly. JL's dad can explain it better then I can but I'll give you a quick over-view. In the begining, Jonathan is upset 'cause he is 30 and he hasn't doin any extroanay in his life. He hasn't really written that great musical and all. His frist musical Subria (that's spelt wrong and I"m sorry) is in workshop and is ready to be put on. The play's cast is to big for off-broadway and is modern for broadway. His best friend Michel is gay, and is find out to have aids. He has changed his dreams and has gotten a copperate job and tries to get Jonathan to do the same. To help him. Jonathen's g/f becomes a dance teacher and moves away. It's kinda like the emotional story of how Jonathen deiceds to keep on writing music 'cause that is were his heart is. ~ Hope I helped.
