Aug 29, 2007 18:15

So. It seems I wrote fic. And not the fic I thought I'd write first. Oh no. This fic features, um, a member of Ya-Ya-Yah (who I, admittedly, know not THAT much about except for I can tell the members apart and they sang a version of Yorokobi no Uta and they should always sing Beatles covers) and his brother. And NO I didn't write fic like that, pervs!!! ;PPP DUR!

Title of the Thing I Wrote: Let Me Take You For a Ride

Notes: This is for swtjemz and mousapelli who introduced me to the wonder that is SHOON and have inducted me into the RevoluSHOON. VIVA LA REVOLUSHOON!!!! *waves banner* If you don't know who SHOOON is, well! Let me introduce you! :D THIS, my friends, is Yamashita Shoon. (There are four pics there.) One is SUITS. Yeah. Pretty, right? And yes he shares the name with Pi *_* FUN TIMES!!!! ^_^

It was a sunny, cloudless day -- a Thursday to be precise -- that Shoon got his license. It was one of those sort of days that begged for a drive, windows down, music blaring, singing along loudly even if you fell out of key. He was excited. He finally had his license. It was a good feeling; one more step towards being an adult. Shoon wanted to take someone on his first drive as a licensed driver.

Reon. His brother would be so awesomely excited if Shoon took him for a drive first. Plus, Reon was always so thoughtful and bought nice teas for Shoon and left lots of driving manuals and safety books around Shoon's room. So he left Reon a text (Reon was working today; Shoon had the day off to get his license): "Meet me downstairs for your lunch break. ♥ I have something to show you. ^_^"

* * *

Reon was surprised Shoon had gotten his license. He thought for SURE no one with enough sense would give Shoon his drivers' license. At least not just yet! Didn't people usually have to take the exam a few times before passing? Didn't Akanishi-senpai take it five times? And he thought for sure that Yamashita-senpai took his three times. Yet here his brother was, leaning up against his car, a modest bright red Mazda, beaming a bright smile.

"Get in!" Shoon said excitedly, stepping up and opening the door.

Admittedly, Reon was a bit hesitant. He couldn't let his brother know, though. He had to be a good younger brother. A supportive younger brother. A very very safe younger brother, he thought buckling his seatbelt, making sure it was locked in place, and eyeing Shoon warily as he started the car.

* * *

Things went exactly as Reon expected. As much as he loved his brother, he thought nauseously as they came to a very abrupt and nerve-wracking halt in front of the Jimusho, Shoon was a terrible driver. Reon jumped from the car, forgetting his seatbelt in his haste to get to safety and being terrifyingly yanked back into the car. He fumbled for a few seconds, ignoring his brother's good-natured laughter -- he had NO IDEA how scary the past half hour had been for Reon!!

Once freed, Reon, pale-faced and breathing hard, ran as fast as he could to the nearest bathroom and locked himself in. Time in the bathroom stall came to a slow, sloth-like crawl. Reon never thought he'd be able to leave. He'd miss the rest of his day. He'd be yelled at. Put on probation. Demoted for a not-so-plearsure-drive during his lunch hour! His life was so hard! He just wanted to be a good younger brother! Now he was stuck, ill and near-whimpering, in a stall during work. Why couldn't Shoon be a better driver?

When he was finally able to stand up, Reon walked out of the bathroom to find Shoon waiting for him, a hurt pout playing at his features. Reon opened his mouth to speak, but Shoon beat him to it.

"It wasn't THAT bad, Reon. Stop exaggerating." Shoon crossed his arms, staring at Reon as he kicked his toe on a chair, but Reon's stomach churned again. He let out a whimper and hurried back in, Shoon chasing after him.

"Reon! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it! But it really wasn't that bad. COME ON! You should try going for a ride with Akanishi-senpai. THEN we can talk!"
