I figured that since I brought people up to this ass-clincher of a drama, that I should at least have the courtesy to bring it to a close.
On Tuesday night I got the courage to call home. I was at the computer lab in Engineering Gateway and I had to borrow someone's cell. My mom picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hi mom."
"Why are you on another phone number???!"
"I...I have to tell you that I had an emergency on Sunday."
"Ha?"
"I ...all my stuff got stolen."
"ANO?"
"All my stuff. My keys, my wallet, my cellphone..."
"Oh my gad."
"My ipod..."
"OH MY GAD!"
"my camera..."
"WHERE DID YOU GO!"
"Newport..." I didn't want to say "beach" cause she would know that a beach is a shady place anyways.
"What what's that??? What's Newport. Where did you go?"
"Newport Beach!! Not that far from here. But I took care of everything, I got everything cancelled, my cards, and I went to the DMV yesterday."
"Paano yung lisence mo!? You have a temporary one."
"That's why I went to the DMV. Yeah."
"Well, what are we going to do now. At least you..."
"I'm sorry Mom, I feel so stupid. I lost so many epensive things."
After I had said that, I started to sob. I was in the hallway of the computer lab and the door was still ajar. I didn't care anymore. I just wanted to let it out-all that hurt that I was keeping in. I was so tired of being stressed out about the whole issue.
"Anak, tama na ya'an. We can replace all that. You had an emergency. But I'm most worried about your health. That's money, that's all replaceable."
I walked outside to the stairwell and cried some more. Eventually, I calmed down and mom just kept telling me how she was happy that at least i wasn't hurt. She got a little ticked off that I didn't call them right away and that I was stressing over more things besides school now that this happend. I told her straightup that I was scared to call them back. Of course, she reminded me that whenever she yells at me, at least, it's just her releasing steam. She assured me that she would tell dad.
After I hung up, I went to the restroom. At that moment, I just remembered that I was not at my apartment. I walked to the bathroom and observed my face. Eye's were red, my face was puffy, and my nose was dripping. Whatever. So I went back to the lab, handed the phone to its owner and went back on studying until Stephen called me to chill and chica-chica with him at the Jack and the Crack.
Wednesday I took the Biostat Discusion exam with little gusto. I was surprised that it was easier than I thought. The rest of the day's classes was filled with sleep. Later that night I stayed up for the MATLAB quiz the next day. I called up the guy that I wanted to do my project with, but he didn't call back, so I crammed like a maniac. I skipped my useless Biostat lecture and headed over to the computer test. 10/10 perfect score bitches. Hopefully that "quiz" which counts for 30% of my grade will boost my class points up.
That night I had to do the project with the guy that I had been bailing out of studying with. It's not like I didn't want to or didn't like him, but shit just kept happening. Sunday I was supposed to study with him but I ended up getting stuck at the beach for 3 hours. So I called him 5 times in the day alone, 3 times at night. I left him a ton of AIM messages. At 2am on friday morning, I realized that he played me bad. He knew how to do the project so I relied on that fact so that I could get a decent grade. I didn't have a back up plan. So first I moped in bed. Then by 4am I was scrambling across the internet trying to at least start the paper. By 11am I had the most glories pile of engineering fecal matter. I turned that shit in before the 12pm due date. OF course I was a little sad, but I couldn't do much anyways. I'll be thankful if I get a 50% on that paper, and honestly, that's all I need to never see another Civil/Environmental Engineering course ever again. My God was that class a nightmare.
I went to Murrieta later Friday to attend Ben's brother's graduation where we sat through 600 peoples names. Of course by name 150 we were bored so we took peoples names and played games with them like "Name their celebrity counterpart!" or "Finish that name-sentence!"
Saturday I did my huge pile of laudnry and activated my new cards that I got in the mail. My sister let me know that my mom told dad, and she was tellign her piano teacher what had happend. Janelle said that dad was pissed, but then typed out "He's an idiot." LOL. I went to my cousins' party in Anaheim, typical filipino affair. Introduced Ben to the only male relative in my family who knows-Joe. Thanks for your readership ya geek.
What follows is what's traditionally the original Hell--Final's week. Anti-climatically for me, i just have 2 manageable tests on Wednesday and Friday. There's two last thigns that I have to worry about, however: My grades, and my Dad, who I'll never here the end from...once I get my phone LOL.
So yeah guys. That means I have a new phone number. I don't know what it is, and I know you're sighing as you read this. But just think of the job that I have to do. LOL. Sometimes I dread the day that I have to plug in ALLLLLLLLLLl of your guys's phone again.
And that's a wrap.
