why are you paying your student loan back if you only earn that much?

before tax my annual salary is £18540 which is above the thresh hold for the SLC student loan repayments

but as i also did a post graduate course costing 12k for the year i also have a post graduate loan that needs repaying - which is a private loan incurring interest charges - alhofrom natwest as the SLC don't do loans for post grad studies - although if i hadn't have done this course i would not have got my current job

You can apply to the Student Loans Company to defer your student loan repayments if your gross monthly income falls below the current deferment threshold of £2,254 per calendar month (equivalent to £27,050 per year).
