they elected him BECAUSE he's 78 and will die soon. hes a 'filler pope' he'll die soon, so they just picked him

Apparently I am just too dumb to understand the way these thing work. At 78, he probably has a few good years left in him to make some mistakes and make people more agitated with the church. Why the filler?
