Note to everyone and anyone: DO NOT watch the movie "Birth." It's terrible, should never have been made, and you will regret it if you don't listen to me. That is all.For the record, it is not entirely my fault that I was subjected to said movie. I'm at my grandparents' house, and it was recommended to the three of us by some friends of their who ( Read more... )

I know, I know...Baltimore is still in it, too, if you really want to be optimistic. I'm just trying to look on the bright side, you know?

Haven't you left for your adventure yet? Why the hell are you able to read my LJ???

if i REALLY want to be optimistic?! Kansas city is 35+ games back, and on something like a 15 game loss streak. having faith in them is the definition of optimism

But yes, i guess you're right, because i am quite certain baltimore is finished.

and in response, i don't leave for ME until weds

ever read the screwtape letters by cs lewis? good stuff

also, i wanna go to jack johnson.

drop me a line?

Okay, so I admit it, I really had no clue as to what Kansas City was doing. 35+ games back is NOT EVEN CLOSE to being a contender. I figured they couldn't be doing that well, since they're up against the indomitable Chicago White Sox. *shudder*

Jack Johnson is on Friday, Sept. 9th at 7pm. The tickets are sold out but Johanna has one. I was going to go but if you wanted it, the ticket is $25, including transportation. I've already got at least two other concerts to go to between school starting and the first week of October so, yeah. :-)

Oh, and the guy my grandparents and I went to visit, the one I talked about in my entry as doing work for LucasFilms? He worked on "The Nightmare Before Christmas"!!! He even has the model of the snowy hill (from the end, that Jack and Sally sing on) and of the Halloweentown Gate and of one of the slot-machine robot skelleton things from Oogie's lair. So, so, so cool.

Love,
Anna

What do you mean AL West will be exciting? We all know that SoCal's Angels are going to easily win. ;-P

hey! wow, it seems like ages since I've talked to you.

hehe yes, changes of scenery are always good :) Speaking of which, I'll get my first look at a foreign country tonight, because I'm leaving for Quebec in a few hours!! all kinds of excitement.

I dunno, I might come along for the ride when Dan goes back to DC, I haven't decided yet. Only four days till you go back, isn't it? ;) Well, whether I come or not, I hope I'll get to see you again sometime!! I'm sure I will.

your new layout is pretty, by the way.

love,
Elaina

P.S. oh, Project Adventure is a gym class that Juniors and Seniors have to take, which is actually really fun, because it's all about climbing towers and stuff of that sort.

That's fantastic about Quebec! Dan was trying to get me to visit him while you and your parents were gone. We couldn't figure out how to make it work though, particularly since I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be all right with your 'rents. *le sigh*

You should most definitely come down to DC when Dan finally gets himself back there (I leave on Thursday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). It'd be great to see you again.

Anyway, shit, I'm leaving my grandparents now. Gotta run!

Love,
Anna
