I was doing some (beyond) wishful thinking while looking at the Antarctic Ice Marathon/100K web site trying to figure out how I could ever come even close to being able to justify it's $15,750 entrance fee (which includes flights, meals, etc.)... ...a little late but...
On Friday I received my official honorable discharge from the Army (I did 4 years active from 2000-2004, then 4 years inactive ready reserve, ie: in the books, but not in uniform). So as of 7/15/08 I am no longer potential IED fodder... that's pretty exciting... crazy thing is, my buddy served with a guy in DC as a ceremonial ( Read more... ) -

In one month (8/3) the NFL returns (I know it's only preseason but still)... and better yet in 37 days The Vikings return ...and even better still, when the Vikes do return, it's them vs. the Seahawks meaning I'll actually get to watch the game!!! -

I'm getting on an airplane tonight and arriving in MN tomorrow (yeah, it's one of those flights)...
