It was the most perfect wedding, with frilly dresses and the stench of hair spray thick in the air. Flowers were pulled through braids and ponytails; makeup was applied with the greatest care. The unwanted maid of honor sat in an uncomfortable brown chair watching it all, anger stretched across her lovely face.

Ariel did not want to be present at this stupid, fucking wedding. She would have gladly shot herself in the head than be where she was now. The exciting chatter and babbles of the other morons in the room was unbearable and giving her a serious headache. The pink eyesore she was currently sporting was bunched across her thighs, giving the other women a charitable eyeful of her shapely legs in white stockings.

Many sent her distasteful looks, but Ariel scowled and pulled down her dress. Just as she was contemplating on giving the girls the finger, a stiff shadow fell over her.

"I'd appreciate it if you stopped giving the bridesmaids a peepshow." Kairi spoke coldly to her and Ariel scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"Whore." She hissed under her breath and grinned when her older sister drew in a shaky breath of anger. Said girl clenched her fingers and gritted her teeth. "Ariel," She said in a forced sweet tone, "I believe you're wanted outside to meet the best man."

She once again scoffed and stood, her dress falling gracefully to the carpeted floor. She faced her sister with a malicious grin and harshly spat, "So, I take it that Roxas's best man is his brother, right?" Kairi winced and her blue eyes narrowed.

"Don't take Roxas's betrayal to heart, dear sister." Kairi told her scathingly, her lips forming a twisted grin. "You obviously didn't amount to his expectations. The better woman won." Ariel's face crumpled for a split second and she pushed her sister forcibly out of the way.

Ariel slammed the door with an earth shattering force and stomped into the reception hall, her face scarlet with fury. How dare she comment on that…that mistake!

Ariel had once been a very foolish girl, with very foolish dreams. They had been filled with the grander of love and knights in shining armor. She was almost certain that they were going to be fulfilled when Roxas had stumbled into her life- literally.

But their relationship (if you could call it that) degraded to that of meaningless time spent together and Ariel had to let him go, as painful as it was.

Two weeks later, Roxas was with Kairi.

Their relationship seemingly mocked Ariel; the way they simply looked at each other screamed failure in her face. That had been almost a year ago and here she was; the maid of honor to her ex-boyfriend's wedding to her own sister.

Was it just her, or did that scream irony?

Shutting her eyes tiredly, Ariel massaged her temple and took in a few deep breaths. 'Calm down,' She hissed at herself inwardly and let out a strained sigh. A man in a black tuxedo stood uncomfortably at the altar, his messy brown spikes in disarray.

Quickly fixing any strands of hair that was out of place in her complicated hairdo, Ariel walked up silently to his side. His eyes were closed and when she tapped him on the shoulder, he jumped and opened them wide.

Mentally hissing and cursing at her misfortune, Ariel found herself falling all over again when she looked into his deep blue eyes and heard his somewhat cheery voice.

"Hey there. I'm Sora."

Thus begins the series of one big story. YAY!
