New (financial) year goals

So as we already know I suck at keeping track/completing the goals I set out for myself.

However with tomorrow being the 1st of July and the new financial year, I thought I’d sent myself a sort of 52 week project of smaller attainable goals.

These goals are simple.

Each week I will:

1. Watch one movie I have never seen*.

2. Read (or start) one book off my TBR**.

3. Listen to one new (to me) album***.

Also I will journal these entertainment adventures in an 8x8 kraft paper journal (that I already have). I will try to do this weekly as well however I am not going to push myself to complete this.

As the journal is 40 pages (80 front and back) I will be doing one page for each week of entertainment (52 pages), a monthly review page (12 pages) and a monthly tv episodes watched page (12 pages).

That leaves 4 pages spare in case I want to throw in a special event page - for example if I go to a special movie (for example Spider-Man Far From Home may get a special page as it is the first in the next MCU phase).

To make the journal look even better I will print out movie posters/book covers/album covers from my fancy new Sprocket I bought yesterday. They are not only small enough to fit 3 on an 8x8 page with room to write but they are also stickers as well as photos.

Hopefully by setting these goals for myself it will also give me more content to share here.

Wish me luck!

*Not only do I have more than 52 movies I have never seen on DVD/VHS, I also have subscriptions to multiple streaming services so this should be the easiest to complete.

**It may take me a little over a week to read a book depending on how long it is but I plan to finish them early in the second week and start a new book, hence the ‘(or start)’ section of this goal.

***These albums do not have to be new or by artists I have never heard of, it could be something like the new Miley Cyrus album or an album by a band/singer I have somehow missed. I will try to limit the albums to ones with 100% songs I have never heard on but as I am someone who does not remember song names this may not always be possible. Also this should be an easier task as well as I have a Spotify subscription and often listen to music at work.
