Remember how quickly the plants seemed to grow this month? How they were persistent, difficult to get rid of no matter what anyone seemed to do? It's almost as if the plants are growing minds of their own, with how things are going. Pull out some plants from the cracks, have even more grow back by the next day. Some have even been spewing poisonous

[Not that any day in Icarus is a pleasant experience, but this was rapidly becoming one of those days where Emma really wanted to be elsewhere. But no, instead of being in a fabulous spa, or trying to relax on Utopia before someone else showed up to attack it, or honestly, at this point, there were even a few villains she’d rather deal with instead, but no, she’s here. Dealing with plants.

Or more accurately, attempting to deal with the people trying to get away from the plants. At the moment, she was a little busy trying to make sure that a recently crushed building was empty. Normally it’d be an easy task, but with all the worried thoughts constantly coming in from across the city, it was proving to be more difficult than normal.]

How in the hell does that woman expect us to stop this? If she wanted a bloody gardener, she should have asked someone else to come here and deal with these overgrown weeds!

[There's a group of people running past, trying to seek shelter when they run past Emma. Amongst them is this man, and he stops to hear her words, approaches with a fast pace, deep frown.]

I feel we are more like caretakers than whatever she intended. [He looks to the building that the other is in front of, and frowns.] What exactly are you doing?

Trying to keep them from trampling each other.

[She refrains from adding “What does it look like I’m doing?” Normally, she would, but she’s a little preoccupied telling the citizens which way to go and not to touch the plants.]

Caretakers, indeed. If that’s what they wanted, I know some people she should have brought here instead.

I figured as much. [There's a face as he watches the panic, brows furrowed. A nod to the second set of words, and he tries to regain composure.]

Middle District

[Riddick had done a pretty good job of keeping a low profile so far this time around. He hadn't taken out any guards and he had only lifted a few things here and there to get by. For the most part he had been going unnoticed by most of the population, the only thing that really stood out at all were the goggles. he hadn't cared for the overgrown weeds, but then he had just spent the last six years on a frozen heap and was then heading to a planet in which they would have fried before the first bud thought about opening. Steal and stone had pretty much been Riddick's life, didn't have much of an opportunity for landscaping when you grew up in the penal system

[Riddick won't find a woman if he was looking to the source of the screaming; instead he'll find a young man trying to pull someone to safety. The latter is out cold it seems, slumped over and the building they're nearby is caving in on itself, crushed by the force of the vines wrapping around it.]

Is this- is this seriously happening?! [He's in a panic, looking around frantically when he notices Riddick, makes a motion to the other.] H-Hey! We could use your help, there's still someone in there!

Guess you should have paid the gardener a little extra to put out some weed killer.

[Damn, so it wasn't her and it didn't seem like there were that many people that seemed to be thinking straight. Yeah the one building might have come down, but then what's to keep the rest of them from being pulled down by the over sized vines as well.]

You- is this really the time to make wise cracks?! [He looks in disbelief at the comment, shakes his head and goes back to pulling a person back to the side. Straightening up, he shoots a look to Riddick, tucks his bottom lip in and lets out a yell, moves to head into the house himself.

And when he moves in, one of the vines slams down, aiming for Riddick.]

[The scream can go on as long and as loud as it wants. Maybe the person will get lucky, and someone will hear and help them out.]

[Unfortunately, Belial? Is not that person. He's on his own mission, ignoring the people running around him and the damage throughout the city as he searches through the districts. The plants die underfoot as he walks over them, but it doesn't matter; they always seem to grow right back in the moments he looks away. They need to find the source of it all, that's what they really need. And that's what he's going to find. Everything else can wait.]

H-Hey, Belial! [Cody's been with the other for the most part, stumbling after and trying to make heads and tails of the situation (and the fact that everywhere the other steps, it dies then grows back). A look around the area and he lets out a sigh, catches up.]
