If I may? Compac has never let me down, not even now that they are owned by HP. In fact we have two Compacs and one HP and I've never had a problem save a faulty monitor on the HP that they replaced under the warranty - I added a few bucks and got a bigger screen for my aging eyes. I've been looking at their laptop units with true hunger...

Mac has never worked right for me. When I first started on the newsdesk all the units were Macs and I was insanely miserable the whole time. But that is just me.
