I have two points I want to make about this:

I wish fandom rallied around, oh, I dunno, activism against genocide in Darfur or trafficking of women and children with anything approaching this kind of fervor.

It makes me sick how people can get pissy when their LJ accounts get suspended but won't donate money to cancer research or abandoned children funds.
