ugh.

I got back from the Fair last night. It was exhausting in every possible way. My whole body is tired, my parents were fighting a lot, and complaining about each other whenever either one was alone with me. On top of it, I realized that I can't continue my life the way it is, and need a drastic change. So when I got home, I forced a change that was ( Read more... )

aw, babe....
Way to be awesome and brave.
All the good comfortable stuff will come again. I think life will always pretty much be as settled as you let it.
Make sure you keep believing in yourself. Hard sometimes when you stop doing the things you're already good at. It's 100% fact that you have everything it takes to go make something amazing for yourself.
I'm here if you want somebody to spill out your brain to or hold you or get a beer or whatever.
love.

ditto.

I say good job for shaking things up and taking big risks. The unknown is hella scary, but it also means anything could happen.... for the better!

Good luck in everything you do. We should get together before you leave... seriously.

I did that at 20, same exact thing.

You're going to have an amazing time and you're going to be alright! :)

I DITTO THEEZE.

also loved chatting with you over a lovely hot burrito boy lunch.

i'm kind of going to be, not in, but at least near your position in another year, maybe halfway a little sooner. there's so many things in life that you just have to jump into, and it's fucking scary. i'm really learning this and am definitely skirting the edge of something big and dark and cavernous right now and am trying to figure out how to make my legs work so i can jump into it. feels like learning how to walk all over again, just to get ready to jump.

there will be learning and changing and growing and you'll be better for it all happening. the important part is that you make it happen, which you are, and it's great.
you're incredibly brave and amazing for knowing it's what you have to do, and doing it. there's always a place where we can comfortably nestle ourselves away from what we actually need, and it's always a challenge to wrestle oursleves from it.
be proud of yourself, and though it won't be easy, it will be insanely worth it.

Change is why I moved to Boston, and the reason I really look forward to LA. Staying in one place (physically or emotionally) just causes ones life to stagnate, and in a way die.
Hopefully you can keep your courage to do this, and hopefully the change is enough to revitalize you. Best of luck.

I'm sitting at The Bitter End right now thanks to your post on damnportlanders and I'm sorry for snooping but I just moved here from Houston for pretty much the same reason. All I wanted to say is FUCK YEAH, SISTER! Once you get here hit me up if you ever wanna grab some coffee/tea and vent about all that is horrible and wonderful about stepping into the great unknown. Much love!

Wow yay! Thanks for coming to the show!
I've been living in Portland since August now. I love it. It's definitely my home.
I'm totally down to get a nice hot beverage and talk about transplanting to P-town.
