I don't know about most people, but I get into halloween for many reasons. First and foremost, the candy. It's the only day of the year when I can eat as much as I want and not hear people complaining about diets or getting fat, etc. Second, it's a chance not to dress up as someone who isn't me, but to dress up as parts of me that aren't acceptable in daily life unless I want to walk around hearing constant taunts of weird or worse (not that I don't get those every day anyway, but it'd be increased tenfold). Lastly, it's a chance to celebrate the darker side of human nature. Horror movies, blood, scary things, etc. are more acceptable and they aren't as frowned on as they are the rest of the year. Maybe those seem like silly reasons to everyone else, but they work for me.

Dude, I think the holiday has become better now we are older, now we can get wicked drunk on booze in funny costumes and then eat candy...that has been marinated in vodka since the night before (I never liked gummie bears till now)And I seem to recall a certain someone putting on face paint and walking around the halls of our highschool as the crow and every time I saw you you had a smile on your face...until you tried to figure out how to eat louncj with the black lipstick :P
