My Weekly Geekery: Hack de Overheid

I've missed regular updates here, but I've been quite active on the Geekery front so I have a nice backlog for posting here.

I went to "Hack de Overheid", (Hack the Government) day in Amsterdam. Like the US and UK, the Dutch government is really getting into the idea of publishing some of its data for the public to use. Then they encourage/promote/ ( Read more... )

Here's the deal: if you can find me a public datasource (and I think you're the right person to find it) I can definitely build you the Android app - the code will transfer over quite easily.

And it'd be REALLY cool to start publishing this silly little thing in Appstores for many cities...

Start searching things like Linked Data, government open data, etc.

Yes you can! It's already had some public exposure.

I'd like to actually publish the Android App on the market, so it gets downloaded. Guess I better hurry up with that!
