‘shf-shf-shf’
“What was that noise?!” Heiji’s head snapped around, gaze moving quickly from object to object, searching for whoever was there. Walls, floor, box, ceiling… no ceiling tiles, so nobody was hiding in there… He turned around and started walking again, senses alert.
‘shf-shf-shf’
“Aha!” Heiji spun around, fists ready to whale on whoever was sneaking up on him. He blinked, surprised. The corridor was empty.
“Huh. Weird.”
Wait. Was it just his imagination, or had that box moved?
“…Naaaah. It’s just a box.”
He started walking again.
‘shf-sh-‘
The noise came again, but Heiji was ready for it this time. He leapt at the box, flinging in the air as he pounced on the person beneath. They squeaked and tried to run, but Heiji lunged and caught their ankle, bringing them both crashing to the ground.
Conan blinked and smiled up at him nervously.
“Eh-he-he…”
Then, he blinked innocently, eyes wide and round behind his glasses.
“Is something wrong, Heiji-niichan?”
Heiji growled and stood up, pointing an imperious finger at Conan.
“You hang around with those kids far too much! First off it’s Metal Gear Solid, and next thing you know, you’ll be begging Dr. Agasa to make you a mech-warrior so you can go destroy Tokyo!”
