Hip Hip Horray!

I went to visit my new surgeon yesterday and got a surgery date of November 29th, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. So (once again), the countdown begins.

Can't wait to get rid of this bum hip and get back to what life's all about - riding roller coasters!

I actually wondered how you were getting on? I'm 32 and due to have mine in 2 weeks time!!!

Hi - I'm 5 weeks out and am doing great! I had minimal incision anterior approach with metal on metal prosthesis. I was weight bearing as tolerated from day one (although I didn't get out of bed until day 2 1/2). There was a lot of pain the first few days, but I got a shot of Dilaudid every 3 hours so I basically dozed on and off all day
