H2O + Binghamton = ?

Binghamton (my college town) has been on the news recently. The Southern Tier area of NY, as well as parts of NJ and PA are under several feet of water. Flooding this bad hasn't been seen in 30 or so years ( Read more... )

eh, the university didn't look to be affected. i took a drive around the lower half of the brain and didn't see any flooding which is good seeing as how the events center was one of the evacuation shelters.

the flooding wasn't due to the rain accumulating. it was due to the susquehanna river overflowing with rain that flooded.

we had some pretty serious flooding last year, it wasn't as bad as it was this time but it wasn't far off.

downtown binghamton is fine, you need to go further down to see flooding, around upper court street i understand. lourdes hospital is closed due to flooding. but everything in between is alright.

hopefully i will find a photo posting tool other then photobucket that will cooperate so i can post my pics. i took several today in different parts of town. if i can, i'll post about it with pics. if not, well, sucks to be me i guess.
