2 KaiSoo Drabbles [long]

1.) S.T.U.P.I.D. [~3,950w] || au, romance, humor; pg. +side!hunhan
Jongin is jealous of this mysterious Kai, who Kyungsoo seems to be infatuated with.

Jongin knows he shouldn't be snooping around Kyungsoo's room when the older is out, but he can't help it - he's just a curious boy with a bigger than usual crush on his friend. Besides, he's hoping to find the jacket he lent Kyungsoo last month; after all, that was his favorite jacket, and as much as he likes Kyungsoo, he would like it back.

He's looking through Kyungsoo's school papers (he found his jacket a while back, as Kyungsoo is very organized and keeps all his jackets on the right of closet. Don't ask how Jongin knows.) when he spots a folded note among his notes.

Jongin wouldn't have paid much attention to it if it wasn't decorated in ridiculously uncharacteristic hearts and doodles of smiley faces. Kyungsoo never uses smiley faces. Not even when he offers to correct Jongin's math homework.

Jongin unfolds the paper, and his jaw almost drops when he reads what's inside. He almost backtracks to make sure this is Kyungsoo's handwriting - it definitely is, because only Kyungsoo writes this neatly.

Written at the top of the lined paper is: KAI. Listed below are characteristics of this "perfect guy" Kyungsoo seems to be infatuated with.

Jongin almost burns the paper.

"Who is this Kai?" Jongin mutters under his breath, reading off the list.

His smile is the brightest, even brighter than Chanyeol's. Or maybe I'm just biased. Jongin snorts, shaking his head. Could this Kai's smile be brighter than Jongin's? Because Jongin uses whitening toothpaste every night, and he was so sure his smile was the best.

But apparently Kyungsoo doesn't think the same.

Jongin is bitterly scanning the rest of it when he hears Kyungsoo's mother greet Kyungsoo downstairs. He scrambles to rearrange Kyungsoo's paper, and then stuffs the list into his pocket to read later. (Ever heard of the saying, "Keep your friends close and enemies closer?" Well, this Kai is probably Jongin's #1 enemy right now.)

When Kyungsoo comes running into the room, huffing out of breath, Jongin wants to pinch himself for letting his heart flutter like this. It's not fair that all he sees is Kyungsoo, when all Kyungsoo sees is this Kai.

"My mom said you were here," Kyungsoo breathes, hanging his backpack on the hook on the door of his closet. "Why'd you come over? I thought we were going to meet at movies later."

Jongin shrugs, hands in his pocket playing with the note still. "I thought we could go together."

Kyungsoo rolls his eyes, but he smiles anyway. "Still, the movies isn't for another forty-five minutes. Aren't you a bit early?"

"Well, I figured you'd want to stop by the thrift store to get some cheap candy, since you think theater candy is expensive."

"Theater food is always expensive," Kyungsoo says matter-of-factly. "Sounds good though," he says, grinning. "I'll grab my jacket and we can go." Kyungsoo moves to his closet, rummaging through his clothes. He frowns and turns to Jongin, and sees him with the jacket he planned to wear.

"I was going to wear that jacket," he says, pointing to the one laying on his bed beside Jongin.

Jongin blinks. Did he forget that was Jongin's jacket? "Oh, y-yeah, you can wear it," Jongin answers hurriedly, throwing him the jacket. Kyungsoo thanks him and pulls it on, and Jongin smiles when he sees the sleeves are too long.

Jongin doesn't mind if Kyungsoo keeps the jacket a little longer after all.

-

At the theater, when Kyungsoo leaves to buy the tickets for everyone (he has a pass at the theater, which gives him a discount, so he always buys everyone's tickets), Jongin rushes to Sehun's side.

"Dude, I'm having a crisis!" Jongin whispers urgently, and Sehun just glances at him blankly.

"Really," he asks, eyes dull.

Jongin frowns. "Yes. Stop looking at me like that."

"Like what."

"Like-"

"Oh, hey Luhan," Baekhyun says in the background, and Sehun immediately brightens up as he spins around to greet their Chinese friend.

"Luhannie!" Sehun calls, and Luhan smiles at him and waves. Jongin thinks Sehun is a lost cause.

"Hey!" Jongin snaps, waving Sehun, who's supposed to be his best friend, back to him. "I'm having a mid-life crisis here and you're drooling over your boyfriend?"

"You're not even at the middle of your life," Sehun deadpans. "Besides, you're the same when Kyungsoo's around."

Jongin flushes, but he frowns as he takes out the note. "Yeah, well, Kyungsoo doesn't feel the same about me. Look at this note I found in his desk. He's totally in love with this- this Kai guy." He pushes the note into Sehun's chest as if disgusted with it.

Sehun takes the note and pushes Jongin's hand away with an exasperated look. He opens the note and begins reading.

When Sehun starts laughing, Jongin thinks he's either gone insane, or Sehun is just really evil. Or both.

"There is nothing funny about this!" Jongin snaps, glaring at him. "The love of my high school life so far is in love with some-some sexy bastard! And those are his words, not mine!"

Sehun just keeps laughing though, and soon their friends are all gathering around him.

"What did you do to Sehun?" Zitao asks, eyes round with fear. Jongin only shakes his head, so Sehun pushes Zitao the note while trying to calm his laughter.

Zitao, unable to read hangul well, gives it to Luhan to read it for him. After Luhan finishes translating it out loud, him, Zitao, Yifan, and Yixing all burst out laughing. The note is then passed to Minseok, who reads it with Junmyeon and Jongdae beside him. Jongdae laughs first - more like cackles - and Junmyeon chuckles while Minseok guffaws.

Finally, it's passed to Baekhyun, who reads it with Chanyeol, Baekhyun starts laughing the moment he gets the note, and it takes Chanyeol a moment to understand. "Wait, what is this?" he asks, frowning. "Who wrote this?"

Baekhyun hits him with the note. "Do you really not recognize Kyungsoo's handwriting?" he asks between laughs.

"Oh, it's Kyungsoo?" Chanyeol asks in disbelief. "I didn't know he drew hearts."

Jongdae snickers. "Only for Kai." Everyone, except Jongin, bursts out laughing. Jongin doesn't know why he hangs out with any of them.

When Kyungsoo returns with the tickets, he asks why they were laughing. They all shake their heads though, and when Kyungsoo turns to Jongin for an answer, Jongin can only shrug weakly.

"Let's just go watch this movie," Jongin says with a forced smile, walking into the movies first. When they get into the theater, Jongin usually saves the seat beside him for Kyungsoo so they could share popcorn and candies and even brush arms when one of them moves. (Jongin obviously turns into a schoolgirl when Kyungsoo is around.)

But this time, Jongin pulls Sehun into the seat beside him before Kyungsoo can get there. He pretends not to see the crestfallen look as Kyungsoo's lips part in surprise, and he moves to other side to sit with Minseok at the end.

"What are you doing?" Sehun asks, shocked. Everyone is glancing between Jongin and Kyungsoo now, who never sit apart like this. Chanyeol almost looks scared even.

"Watching a movie," Jongin answers coldly.

"You know what I mean," Sehun hisses. "Now go sit next to Kyungsoo before the world combusts from the tension."

Jongin doesn't move though. He opens the candy Kyungsoo bought, takes one, and then asks Sehun to pass the rest down to Kyungsoo. Sehun obliges grudgingly, before turning back to talk to Luhan.

Jongin pretends to be interested in the trailers, but all he can think about is this Kai and his Kyungsoo.

The candy in his mouth has turned sour, like his mood.

-

When the movie's over, they filter out of the theater. Jongdae, Junmyeon, and Minseok are the first to leave, because they carpooled together, and Junmyeon needs to get back to study for an test. Yixing excuses himself to buy groceries for his dorm, and Yifan and Zitao tag along with nothing else better to do.

Jongin probably would have come up with an excuse to leave immediately if he hadn't been the one to bring Kyungsoo to the theater. He could've planned this better.

They're all standing together, Jongin not meeting Kyungsoo's concerned stares. Baekhyun, uncomfortable with the tension, clears his throat. "Well, Chanyeol and I are going to go grab a snack."

"You two just finished an extra large popcorn," Jongin says incredulously. "And you got a refill."

Baekhyun shrugs. "You know how Chanyeol is." As they leave, Baekhyun elbows Luhan, who only nods.

"Right, and Sehun has dance practice later this evening, so he should probably get going," Luhan says, and Sehun raises an eyebrow.

"I do?"

Luhan stares at him. "You do." He then turns to Jongin, who's confused too because he and Sehun both dance at the same place and he's pretty sure there's no practice today. "You should go with Sehun," he tells Jongin. "I'll take Kyungsoo back."

Then Jongin understands. He nods, and Luhan nods back. Sehun is starting to catch on now too, but he's reluctant to play along.

"I don't want to go with Jongin," he complains to Luhan, and Jongin just crosses his arms.

"Stop being a baby," he snaps. "Let's go or else we'll be... late for our practice." Jongin hesitates at the lie, and Luhan rolls his eyes.

As they leave, Jongin glances back to see Luhan talking to Kyungsoo. Maybe he can trust Luhan to figure out who this Kai is.

-

In the car ride back, both Sehun and Jongin mope. Sehun because he wants to stay with Luhan, and Jongin because he wants to be with Kyungsoo.

Unrequited love sucks.

"Oh, here's your note back," Sehun says, pulling it out of his pocket. It's crumpled and ripped at the edge, but Jongin still takes it back with a heavy heart.

"Thanks," he mutters, stuffing it into the cupholder.

Sehun glances at him, eyebrow raised. "Do you really not know?" he asks, amusement laced in his voice now.

"Know what?" Jongin mumbles.

"Who Kai is?"

Jongin's head almost snaps when he turns to Sehun. "You know who he is?!"

"Eyes on the road, Jongin!" Sehun yells, and Jongin turns back in time to avoid swerving into the other lane. "Damn, I know that love kills, but you don't have to take me down with you!"

Jongin rolls his eyes. "Who's Kai?!" he asks urgently. Who is this supposedly perfect guy who has Kyungsoo writing hearts and smiley faces?!

Sehun snorts. "Obviously it's you."

Jongin almost runs a red light, too busy choking to pay attention. "What?! Don't be ridiculous!" Honestly, Jongin always knew Sehun wasn't the brightest of bulbs, but this is pushing it.

"Well, who else could it be?" Sehun asks, clinging to the side of the car for dear life. Maybe talking about this with Jongin driving wasn't the best idea.

"His name is Kai, first of all, dumbass," Jongin snaps, and he doesn't mean to be rude (okay, maybe he kind of does, but only because Sehun is always rude to him), but he can't help but be angry. Sehun is just playing tricks with Jongin, using his feelings against him for chuckles.

Sehun throws a glare at him. Honestly, if Sehun didn't like Kyungsoo, he'd probably never say anything. But since he knows Kyungsoo is probably going to be hurt if he doesn't tell Jongin, he figures he has to say something, or else risk being stuck with two mopey guys the rest of the year.

"Do you seriously think someone would name a kid Kai?" Sehun hisses. "Dumbass," he adds in for payback.

"I don't know!" Jongin exclaim, throwing his hands up in exasperation.

"Hands on the wheels!" Sehun yells, and Jongin obliges grudgingly.

"I don't know," he repeats, grumbling. "But who cares if he's got a dumb name because he's got Kyungsoo's heart and that's all that matters."

Sehun almost wishes they would get in a car crash now, because that seems like the only apparent way to end both his and Jongin's misery.

-

Later that night, at 1AM, Sehun is woken up when he gets a phone call. He swears one day he will block Jongin's number.

"You better be fucking dying in an alleyway to be calling me at this time, Kim Jongin," Sehun hisses, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"I got it!" Jongin exclaims, and there is way too much excitement in his voice for this time of night.

"Got what," Sehun snaps. He doesn't have time for Jongin's nonsense. Sleep is always the priority, above friendship and all else.

"I was thinking about what you said about this Kai guy. Even if he isn't real-"

"He is," Sehun groans. "He's you!"

"... Even if he isn't real, then he's obviously Kyungsoo's ideal guy, right?"

Sehun is too tired to even argue anymore. "Right, right, whatever. What are you getting at?" Sehun growls.

"Then I can make a list of my ideal guy too! And I could plant it in my pocket or something and lend Kyungsoo my jacket and he could see that I'm in love with some guy and he could get jealous and we could live happily ever after."

Sehun thinks Jongin is the stupidest person he's ever met. And he's met Chanyeol, so that's saying something.

"Right-"

"Or Kyungsoo will be happy for me and my imaginary ideal guy who's actually Kyungsoo and he'll wish me luck in this imaginary relationship and Kyungsoo will marry this Kai and I'll be miserable for the rest of my life!" Jongin cries, and Sehun all but throws his phone at the wall.

"Shut the fuck up," Sehun groans, throwing a pillow over his head. "He won't marry Kai because Kai is you!"

"... So he'll never marry me?" Sehun can practically hear the pout.

"Call me in the morning when you're not high off of emotions," Sehun deadpans, hanging up. He turns off his phone and chucks it on the ground before going back to sleep and dreams of a world with only Luhan. That's his ideal.

-

The next morning, Sehun goes over to Jongin's house after receiving hundreds of texts from the older male. He goes to both yell at Jongin for spamming him and to stop Jongin from spamming him even further.

When he gets there, Jongin pushes the list in front of his face.

Sehun reads it reluctantly, knowing Jongin won't stop if he doesn't. Sehun is torn between laughing and crying because really, this is a whole level of ridiculous and stupidness.

"Really? D.O.?" Sehun asks with a sigh. "Can you be more obvious?"

"Hey, I'm no good at that creative thinking stuff," Jongin defends.

"Yeah, or thinking at all," Sehun mutters under his breath before he keeps reading.

It turns out Jongin is as creative as a brick. Everything on his list describes Kyungsoo perfectly, and it's really pathetic, because at least Kyungsoo was more subtle in his list about Jongin.

I mean, honestly? He watches Pororo with me and makes cute faces! I just want to squish him! Because that doesn't scream Kyungsoo?

"It's good, though, isn't it?" Jongin asks excitedly.

"No," Sehun deadpans. "But it's better than nothing." Sehun figures, once Kyungsoo sees this, he'll obviously figure things out and they will be together in no time and Jongin will leave Sehun alone.

"You should probably change the name though, because D.O. is really obvious," Sehun says, rolling his eyes.

"Well, I didn't know what else to think of," Jongin says with a frown, looking back at his list.

"Hmm," Sehun brainstorms for a moment. He smirks when he thinks of an idea. "How about D.I.C.K.? As in 'dude i c kyungsoo.'" Sehun begin guffawing, and Jongn only watches, unamused. "Get it? A 'C' for see as in vision!" Sehun doubles over, holding onto the doorframe for support.

"Get out," Jongin deadpans.

Sehun wipes a tear. "Hey, don't be rude," he says, laughter calming down into chuckles. "I helped you, didn't I?"

"No, you insulted my list and then made a lame joke," Jongin says, rolling his eyes. "Now get out."

"You ruined my sleep and killed my phone!" Sehun argues, glaring at him. "Why should I get out?!"

"Because I'm going to go see Kyungsoo, now get out." Jongin promptly pushes Sehun out, who stumbles back just in time to see the door slam on him.

"I hope you're not this rude after you get laid," Sehun hisses as he leaves.

-

Jongin shows up to Kyungsoo's house around 10AM, ignoring the surprised look on Kyungsoo's mother's face (she knows Jongin usually wakes up around this time). As patiently and polite as he can manage, he asks to see Kyungsoo. She directs him to his room, and he thanks her.

Jongin knocks once before entering, and sees Kyungsoo snuggling up in front of his laptop, wearing Jongin's jacket.

"You're still wearing that?" he asks, and Kyungsoo almost drops his cup of coffee.

"Jongin," he breathes, spinning around. "What are you doing here?"

"I, uh... wanted to... give you back your notes," Jongin says lamely. He chickens out from his original plan of sneaking the note into his pocket and lending his jacket to Kyungsoo, because obviously Kyungsoo already has a jacket - his.

"Oh. You borrowed my notes?" Kyungsoo asks, confused. "You study?"

Jongin rolls his eyes, noticing the grin sneaking up on Kyungsoo's face. "Very funny," he says, handing him the papers, which was the one with Kai and the one Jongin created about D.O.

"Thanks," Kyungsoo says, smiling as he looked up at him. "Are you hungry? We have some leftover kimchi spaghetti."

Jongin is tempted, but he has to force himself to refuse. He doesn't want to be around long until Kyungsoo sees the paper. "Thanks, but I should get going."

Kyungsoo loses his smile, but Jongin just bites his lips and sucks it up. It hurts him to hurt Kyungsoo. Jongin moves to leave, but he feels warm, familiar hands wrap around his wrist.

"Wait."

Jongin stops breathing.

"I- these notes. This isn't mine," Kyungsoo says, taking out Jongin's paper. Jongin freezes. He wants Kyungsoo to read it, but he doesn't want to be around to see it happen.

"A-Are you sure? Maybe you should check when I'm gone," Jongin says quickly, pulling free. Kyungsoo stumbles forward with a thump, his leg hitting the ground, and Jongin turns around to see him. He frowns, because...

... Kyungsoo is smiling?

"I know you read that note about Kai," he says, and Jongin curses Luhan under his breath. He never should've trusted him.

"Right, well, I'm happy for you," Jongin says stiffly. He should've known better. "He sounds perfect." Jongin spits the last word.

"Not really," Kyungsoo says, amusement laced into his voice that Jongin completely misses, too overwhelmed with emotions.

Of course, Jongin thinks to himself bitterly. Of course Kai would be a real guy. How could I listen to Sehun? What does he know about heartbreak when he has Luhan?

"He's actually really dumb," Kyungsoo continues, and Jongin is only half-paying attention, because he really doesn't want to hear Kyungsoo talk about Mr. Perfect if it's not him. "And he makes me want to punch a wall in almost half of the time."

"You two would make a great pair," Jongin bites, looking away. Honestly, Kyungsoo is just being cruel now. Does he have to brag about Kai?

"We sure would," Kyungsoo admits, and the amusement in his voice has subsided into something more like affection now as he stares at Jongin. "If he'd only realize how I felt."

Jongin doesn't say anything. Part of him actually wishes this Kai never realizes Kyungsoo's feeling so they couldn't be together and Jongin could still have Kyungsoo, even as just a friend. It's selfish, but a broken heart can make a person bitter.

"But what about your note?" Kyungsoo asks, changing the subject. Jongin doesn't even care anymore. His whole plan is ruined. Kyungsoo won't care about Jongin's imaginary-but-not-really D.O. because Kyungsoo has devastatingly-real Kai.

"D.O.?" Kyungsoo questions, raising an eyebrow. He makes a note to talk to Jongin about creativity later. He skims the list, deciphering Jongin's messy scrawl of words and arrows. Kyungsoo figures it out by the first point though: His cooking is to die for, especially his kimchi spaghetti. Ugh, if I could marry food... or him.

Kyungsoo, despite his better judgement, finds it cute.

"Yeah, that's my note," Jongin finally says, snatching the note away. "But it doesn't matter anymore." He stuffs it into his pocket, and turns to leave finally, face flushed with anguish and disappointment.

Kyungsoo can't take it anymore. "You idiot, Kai is you," he calls out before Jongin reaches the doorway. Jongin freezes in his steps, eyes growing wide as he tries to make sense of Kyungsoo's words.

"What?" he whispers, slowly turning around. Kyungsoo smiles at the returned hope in Jongin's eyes.

"Yeah, Kai is you, you are Kai," Kyungsoo says, rolling his eyes. "I thought it was obvious, given his traits I listed. I mean, I even listed watching movies with him every Friday, and I only do that with you."

Jongin flushes. Maybe he wasn't thinking when he read that, but in his defense, jealousy can be blinding. "But why did you call me Kai?" he asks, frowning. Honestly, all of this despair could have been avoided if Kyungsoo hadn't been so mysterious.

"Because I didn't want to be too obvious," Kyungsoo snorts, putting the note on the table. "But really, anyone who actually read it would have been able to tell it was you." Kyungsoo stands up, walking over to Jongin, who is suddenly having a hard time breathing.

"You're wearing my jacket still," he says, realizing Kyungsoo never answered his first question.

"Yeah," Kyungsoo answers, smiling as he raises an arm. "It's really warm."

"Oh." Would it be silly of Jongin to admit he thought Kyungsoo liked wearing it because it was his? "I could buy you one then. I mean, I could ask my mom too, since she was the one who got it for me at the mall, and I'm sure she wouldn't mind-"

"That won't be necessary," Kyungsoo cuts him off, pressing a finger to his lips. Jongin has an internal breakdown at the intimacy. "I like yours."

"Oh," Jongin squeaks.

"Hmm, do you want to know what my favorite part about Kai is?" Kyungsoo asks thoughtfully.

"His chocolate abs?" Jongin asks weakly, Kyungsoo's breath on his neck distracting.

"Close," Kyungsoo admits. "But no." He tip toes, and when their eyes meet, he smirks. "His lips."

-

The twelve of them meet up for lunch the following Saturday. Nobody has to ask - the whispers and giggles between Jongin and Kyungsoo answer everything. That, and Kyungsoo is practically sitting on Jongin's lap, touching his chest. They aren't paying attention to anyone but each other, and it gets to a point where Luhan has to order their meals for them because they didn't hear the waiter.

"Ugh, they're s.t.u.p.i.d.," Sehun says, rolling his eyes at them. Luhan laughs and looks over at him.

"What does that stand for?"

"Nothing. They're just stupid." Luhan knocks shoulders with him, grinning.

"Yeah, but they're young and in love. What do you expect?"

Sehun glances over at Jongin and Kyungsoo smiling at each other, then back at Luhan. He recognizes the smile and the stares all too well. "Yeah," he murmurs, leaning over to grab Luhan's hand. "What did I expect?"

2.) Green Looks Good on You [~1470w.] || romance, humor; pg-13.
Jongin whores himself out to everyone in EXO-K just to get the attention of one member in particular.

It's been going on for months now, but no one says anything about it. It's an unspoken knowledge between the members, excluding two. It's the reason why no one is alarmed when Jongin steps a little too close, touches a little too out of place, lingers a little too long.

Because the entire time, Jongin is watching Kyungsoo, gauging his reaction.

The members figure Jongin's going to pay for it sooner or later, and who are they to interefere with feelings and such?

-

It's a lazy Saturday evening in EXO-K's dorm. Junmyeon is out running errands, and Chanyeol and Baekhyun went shopping themselves. Sehun is lying on the couch with his phone, texting Luhan who's recording at SM right now. Jongin approaches quietly, sitting a bit too close when -

"Whoa, back up," Sehun warns, shooting back up and moving to the opposite side of the couch, as far away from Jongin as possible. He glares at the older, who only frowns.

"What is it?" Jongin whines. "I only wanted to tell you something." He glances back over to his and Kyungsoo's room with its open door. Sehun rolls his eyes. Jongin is way too obvious.

"I know what you're doing," Sehun hisses, throwing a pillow at Jongin as he tries to move closer. "Stop using me to get Kyungsoo jealous. It's low and disgusting, and not to mention the last time you got too close, Kyungsoo put too much salt in his fried rice. And you know Kyungsoo doesn't just make mistakes like that."

Sehun expects Jongin to at least try to defend himself, but all he does is smirk and lean back. "That means it works then," he says, almost smugly. Sehun would tackle Jongin right here and now if it weren't likely Kyungsoo would get jealous.

"Yes, your stupid jealousy plan works, now stop using me for it, or else the next time Kyungsoo will be putting in my food is poison."

Jongin only chuckles, and Sehun wonders if anything he's saying is even going through that thick-headed skull. He has this dumb, far-away look on his face, and Sehun knows he's thinking about Kyungsoo. When isn't he?

"Kyungsoo would never do that. He's too sweet and squishy."

Sehun almost gags. "Oh my gosh, if you're so in love with him, why don't you just go hang out with him?"

Jongin looks scandalized. "What?! No, I can't act clingy or anything. That's not part of the game."

Sehun would rather cut off his toes than talk to Jongin sometimes. "You're kidding me, right? Seriously, this game you two have made or whatever is so dumb. You're lucky SM's known for fanservice, or else you'd be caught." Sehun rolls his eyes, looking down at his phone again.

"Caught doing what?" Jongin asks innocently.

Sehun glares at him. "Caught playing your little game with Kyungsoo to make him jealous or whatever."

"But it's fun," Jongin laughs, leaning back and glancing at his room. "Now move closer so Kyungsoo can see us snuggling and being touchy."

Sehun scowls at Jongin. "You're disgusting. Besides, why should I move? Kyungsoo sees everything anyway." Sehun stops to think about that for a moment, then he bursts out laughing. "Oh my gosh, do you get it? Because his eyes are big? Oh God, I'm a genius."

Sehun is busy laughing over his own (lame) joke when Junmyeon comes back, carrying backs of groceries. Jongin gets up to help him and to get away from Sehun, who is falling over the couch now still laughing.

"Need help?" Jongin asks, grabbing a couple of bags from Junmyeon.

"Thanks, Jongin," Junmyeon says, breathing out in relief. "It wasn't easy carrying these up here. I almost got mauled by fangirls."

"Why don't you just let the manager take care of the groceries?" Jongin asks, setting the groceries on the table.

Junmyeon shrugs. "We should take responsibility for our own things. We're idols, not princes."

"Some consider them the same thing," Sehun says from the couch.

Junmyeon rolls his eyes, taking out the groceries and placing them in their respective places in the fridge and cabinets. Jongin lets him do the work, but when he notices Kyungsoo exiting the room, he jumps at the chance to help Junmyeon. He notices Junmyeon struggling to grab something he pushed too far back on the top shelf.

"Here, I'll help," Jongin says, stepping a bit too close. Junmyeon looks confused at first, but when he sees Kyungsoo, he almost trips trying to create space.

"K-Kyungsoo!" Junmyeon greets, and Kyungsoo smiles politely at him.

"Do you need help, Junmyeon?" he offers, and Junmyeon shakes his head immediately.

"Not at all! Jongin was just being friendly."

Kyungsoo's smile doesn't falter. "I never said anything about Jongin."

Junmyeon chuckles nervously, and Jongin only grins. It really is working. He watches as Junmyeon hurriedly puts away the last of groceries before darting back to his room and closing the door.

"Are you starting dinner?" Jongin innocently asks Kyungsoo when they're alone in the kitchen.

Kyungsoo barely even glances his way when he answers. "Mhm."

"Do you need help?" he offers eagerly.

"Mmm mm," Kyungsoo hums, shaking his head. "Go play with Sehun or Junmyeon." His tone is nonchalant, but Jongin senses the passive aggressiveness.

"But I'd rather be with you," Jongin says, grinning as he moves closer.

"That's nice, Jongin, but I don't need you here right now," Kyungsoo replies curtly, moving away to set up the ingredients.

Jongin frowns as Kyungsoo turns his back on him. What was he doing wrong now? He leaves to sit with Sehun, but realizes that Sehun isn't there anymore. (He left, saving himself from Jongin and Kyungsoo's wrath.) Jongin is about to return to his room when Baekhyun enters the dorm, kicking off his shoes.

"Is dinner almost ready?" he asks, glancing into the kitchen. He groans when he sees Kyungsoo just starting. "Man, I'm starved!"

"Me, too!" Chanyeol's booming voice follows as he stumbles into the dorm shortly after. "We had to run two blocks because someone spotted us."

Baekhyun shakes his head. "How did they even know who we were? We put our hoods up and everything."

Kyungsoo snorts, glancing at them. "It's a perfectly sunny day and you walked around Seoul in hoodies, expecting no one to notice you?"

Chanyeol blinks. "Yes."

Kyungsoo shakes his head, but Jongin only smiles as he walks over to Chanyeol and Baekhyun, wrapping an arm around each of them. "You guys must be exhausted. How about I make you guys some juice?"

Chanyeol readily accepts, but Baekhyun eyes him suspiciously. He glances back at Kyungsoo, whose chopping has suddenly gotten harder, then back at Jongin. Baekhyun snorts and peels Jongin away from him. "I don't think so. I see what you're doing, and it's not going to work. C'mon, Chanyeol. I'll make us some juice myself."

"Wait, what is he doing?" Chanyeol asks, confused.

"Being a conniving little punk," Baekhyun mutters, and Jongin can only pout.

"I am not!"

"Save it for the bedroom, brat," Baekhyun hisses, glaring at him then Kyungsoo then back at Jongin.

Jongin only rolls his eyes and returns to the couch, turning on the TV and looking over at Kyungsoo every now and then.

Dinner is tense. Junmyeon is too stiff to even move his chopsticks, seated between Jongin and Kyungsoo. Sehun scarfs down everything, and excuses himself quickly to retreat to his room. Baekhyun eats slowly, waiting for something to happen, and Chanyeol seems to be the only oblivious one (or maybe he just doesn't care) as he eats normally, loud chewing and all.

Kyungsoo eats slowy, too, but that's because he's a naturally slow eater. Jongin, who usually eats like Chanyeol, takes his time tonight, savoring each bite.

"Are you going to eat that?" Chanyeol asks with a full mouth, pointing to the untouched fish in Kyungsoo's bowl. Junmyeon thinks Chanyeol is suicidal, but Kyungsoo just shakes his head and gives him the piece quietly.

Kyungsoo finishes first, excusing himself as he put away his plates and left for his room. Junmyeon visibly relaxed after that, almost dropping his bowl from relief. Baekhyun keeps watching, waiting for Jongin's reaction. It doesn't come too long after, when Jongin excuses himself and leaves to his room.

Kyungsoo's on his laptop when Jongin enters. He promptly shuts it, and then turns to Jongin and says, very coolly, "I know what you're doing."

Jongin smiles. "What am I doing?"

Kyungsoo rolls his eyes. "It must be fun playing games with the other members, but it's not fair to them."

"And why is that?" Jongin asks, but he doesn't make a single movement. Instead, he waits for Kyungsoo to walk over, stopping right in front of him.

"Because you're mine."

Jongin smirks. Those words were all he needed to hear. He leans down to capture Kyungsoo's lips, who pushes back more passionately than Jongin expected (not that he minds).

"Hmm, green looks good on you," Jongin murmurs, playing with the fabric of Kyungsoo's shirt.

"I'm sure I'd look better with nothing on." Jongin grins. He might have lied earlier, because these are the words he needs to hear.

a/n:
- did i mention jealousy is my favorite cliche (i probably have but really. really.)
- no but really, regarding the second drabble, jongin is srsly the biggest whore with everyone but when it comes to kyungsoo he's a cautious little bitch who makes things too easy and too obvious omfg this tease/idiot.
- idk these started out as drabbles for my writing blog but then mutated into monsters but i still don't think they're oneshots, and i feel weird posting them on lj, so to alleviate my anxiety, i just... posted two in one post. idk, it makes me feel as if i'm not being cheap. i don't make any sense do i omg. but the first one is probably my preferred one because idk what happened to the second one omg it got later and later and idk i rushed it ;_;
- speaking of writing blog... cough /self-pimping
- i have writer's block mixed with stress from school so idk how often i'll be updating with like real oneshots (i'm working on two somewhat big oneshots - and threeshot - but idk it might take months because ap tests coming up in may). i guess i felt like explaining because i know i try to update often and yeah, this is just a warning that i'm slowing down because real life is tugging on my shirt.
- thank you for reading, as always ^^
