I just got my first Israeli credit card. It's a Visa with a 12,000 shekel limit. That comes out to approximately $3,333.33 (repeating) USD. Considering my insanely large amount of debt in the U.S. it is very exciting for me to have actual money in the bank and an actual credit card. To have my own money that I actually earned. Money I'm working my ( Read more... )

Isn't it nice to have money?!?! I'm so glad you're doing well in Israel. What the heck does Jaje have to do to be able to work over there?

He needs a work visa. Right now he's a tourist. We're waiting on two more documents and we have an appointment in April to try to get his work visa (Hopefully by then the documents will have arrived and if not, they told me to just come in with what I have and let them know I'm just waiting for those others and maybe they can help me at least start the process as I wait for the other documents to come in). In any case, we have another appointment in May and he should definitely be squared away at that point. It's just been a long and frustrating process and it's not over yet ( ... )

You're lucky your boss is letting you work all the hours you want. I know it's hard to work so many hours and still take care of a little one, but you do what you gotta do to get by, right? Good luck with getting all the docs Jaje needs so he can start working too.

You should post some pix of Israel - I would love to see them!

They have a lot of work to do because they are a rapidly growing company. And I am very, very good at what I do. The only bad thing for me right now is that I've gone over the tax bracket because I'm working so much overtime that I will have to pay a ridiculous amount in taxes. Which is going to put a serious dent in my paycheck at the end of the month. I'm furious about this. My real boss (the founder / ceo of the company) is coming to Israel for a visit and I'm going to speak with him as well as the guy who hired me to see if we can work something out where they pay me under the table for all the hours I'm working overtime. This way I can work as much as I need to and not pay so much in taxes ( ... )

I'm very happy you are doing so well over there. Maybe I need to move overseas. On another note I would hope he would start working as soon as his papers are sorted out.

Thank you, I got very lucky finding such a good job in a great company. And I also hope jaje starts working very soon. And I would recommend moving overseas but definitely not to Israel or any middle-eastern country. Maybe somewhere in Europe. :o)
