today i had this epiphany. most relationships, of all kinds wether it be friends, family , boyfriends/girlfriends, are sacred special things. people arent objects. if you throw a ball at a wall its not gonna fight back, but if you do that to a person watch out. i think people view other humans as objects, alot of people i know are very selfish, not ( Read more... )

There is a very fundamental difference between diamonds and people. That difference, that most people only notice on a subconcious level, is that diamonds can benefit people just like relationships can but relationships take work while a diamond just sits there.

I think all things should be cherished, not just objects or not just people. That fixes two things at once.
Do onto others as you would have done onto yourself... or something.
The only reason diamonds are worth anything is because they're pretty and some stupid person wanted one. So if you were smart you would throw the diamond away. Like John Steinbeck's the Pearl. Though later people realized was the fact that nothing can scratch a diamond... or something.
