I think that you are right. As a generalization, women are taught to notice things that men are not, there are also a lot of emotional and worth issues wrapped up in noticing/not noticing things. Granted, not ALL men nor ALL women.

I was looking for a link to a study I heard about that suggested that men do help out with the household more than it seems, but that the farther away from the front door the task is, the more likely they are to do it. So things like yard work, taking out the trash, going to the store for the family were more appealing to men. Couldn't find it though.

I saw another study that suggests that live-in boyfriends do more than husbands do.I haven't examined this study, so it may be complete crap. However, I do see couples adopting "Husband" and "Wife" roles after marriage rather than just being the people they were before and I think that leads to a lot of tension ( ... )
