don't be lazy!!!
after looking through magazines and different zine layouts for nearly two hours, we have finally hardcore motivated ourselves to get the jump start on this community zine idea that's been mentioned to or not mentioned to you recently. the whole thing is basically a combination of artistic efforts of many individuals who have done zine work, or are completely new to the medium, and create one (insert word we've been trying to think of for minutes here) and wow your socks off, knowing that you were actually a part of it!!! i am sick of reading awesome zines and wishing. i want to help make something memorable.

brittany: moving on. so this zine, it's lyke gonna be tight.
moe: hella hella randy and shizz.
okay, so here's the deal: one zine. multiple designers, creators, writers, whatever. art-fags. we've decided to come up with a template to make it easier for you all to participate. (that's the attachment.) you can design as many pages as you like, but we'll get to that momentarily. if you decide you want to be a part of this, (please!) email moe (moesill@end-war.com) or brittany (paintyrmirror@cs.com) within a few days of getting this e-mail, so we can start coming up with a table of contents and some form of awful organization.
okay, onto the fun stuff. there is no topic, however; there is one stipulation. since we know that everyone we've asked to consider this project is a writer, we're requesting that you select some of your favorite writing from your recent (3-4 months old) handiwork, design pages from the template we've sent you, and send us the result via post. sounds easy, huh? we're incredibly pumped about this. the main idea is to show that despite the fact we all may seem similar, we are all incredibly diverse within our emotions and the ways we express them. even though we've found similar outlets for them, we all can create a way of using the same medium to explain a different feeling.
what to do with the template:
print out as many as you like. design your page inside of the white heart. send the entire piece of paper in the mail. please don't cut out the heart, it will make it lots harder on whoever helps to copy it. there is no limit as to how many pages you can design. the time limit, does exist however. if your pages can be postmarked by february the 7th, so we can have time to put this sucker out by valentine's day, that would be foxy. now, go take a look at that righteous template britkat and moesy have created for us. feel free to use the front and back, whatever you wish on your pages. take risks, use paint, magnets, transfers, tape, glue, iron ons, mexican falopian tubes, jesus, whatever you decide to include. this is as much your project as it is ours, so do what feels right. and so will we.

p.s for all participants, there will be a printing party the weekend before valentine's day at moe's house with food/drink/GLITTER to design the cover and come up with a title. don't expect a convention, it's a good old fashion hoe-down and valentine making extravaganza, maybe even with welsh rarebit. we'll see. <3333 love you all.
