so jer and i went to the sigur ros show at the boston opera house and it was fucking amazing. they now stand as the most fantastic band that i've ever seen live. there was an opening band with these four cute little icelandic girls playing random instruments - xylophone, saw, bells, etc. and they were great ( Read more... )

again. so. jealous.

after having a travel guide this summer, that's all i wanted to do--was be her. she was scottish and glamorous (and went to uni glasgow with the belle & sebastian crew!)

two things i love about sigur ros:

1. jonsi is GAY. (yessssssssssssss.)
2. he plays his guitar with a violin bow.

that's craziness!!

i saw jonsi once here in cambridge at the middle east.
on a safer shore was playing and jonsi was in the audience.

i think he was with his boyfriend.

all I can say is thank you Angela. you have inadvertantly introduced me to Sigur Ros and I see that I've been missing out. I've been listening to their stuff for the entire day. that show must have been incredible and excellent camera work in the dark, not always the easiest thing to do. lastly, nice job helping the beerworks get a great phantom gourmet review.
