I met Audrey Stottler at a funeral last week. She sang for the service (The Lord's Prayer). In C. I know she's a dramatic soprano, but it wasn't that early. Anyhoo, she said that she and Deborah Voigt were tight and sang together at the Met. "She was my Kaiserin in Die Frau ohne Schatten." Heard this voice live? She sings Turandot a LOT.

audrey stottler is THE BOMB and i have heard her many times. Next time you run into her, you let her know she's got tons of fans in the usa and she needs to do more shit in the usa asap...im going to see her in turandot at the met next year

She lives in the MPLS metro area now. In conversation, she related that most of her famous friends (like she isn't) aren't happy. She wanted a home life with kids, so she did that. While I'm not sure of any upcoming US dates, I do know she'll be at the Staatsoper in 2006 singing Turandot. That doesn't help you all that much, I'm afraid.
