We've had a bit of a family emergency (not, thankfully, Covid related, which would be a reasonable assumption these days) so I've been off-line. Looking at my flist I would have to go back to skip-180 to catch up properly, so I'm not actually going to do that

My mother firmly believed in the Quentin Crisp school of dusting and, like him, lived to over 90 so it seems to do no harm :)

I hope the family stuff has settled down with a good outcome. Growing old beats the alternative, I reckon, and just now too many people are in the alternative group. And whilst I actually enjoyed my job I have not regretted giving it up for a single minute :)
