you are totally right, and I appreciate the open and candid way you put it.

as an update: when my mom found out about the woman, my dad decided to call it off and they have since been going to counseling. They seem to be getting along better then I ever remember, so I guess maybe they needed it!

And I did take the high road - and completely stayed out of it. I haven't asked anyone anything about it since I wrote this...and don't intend to. It's nice having your voice of reason!!
