Matty hoped someone would answer the Hufflepuff portrait hole, as he knocked upon it. He had promised Vati that he'd check out this Charlie fellow, and that's exactly what he was going to do. The fourth year felt a little odd doing this, but he held his head up proudly, knowing that he was really just protecting his friend.

Charlie thought he heard someone knocking on the door to the portrait hole as he approached it, ready to head outside for a walk.

What...?

He pushed it open carefully, and hoped he didn't hit whomever was doing the knocking.

Matty took a step back, as the portrait door creaked open.

Okay? Someone there?

Peaking his head around the portrait, he thought he recognized the older boy as the person he was looking for.

"Charlie?"
