prompt fic: Jellyfish

This is my (late) little ficlet for bleodswean's prompt-a-thon. The prompt was, "My first thought was that he lied with every word." I struggled all week to come up with something, then we visited the aquarium yesterday. :)

I loved this. The mystery and the tension are just wonderful! I like the not-so-common a meeting place, the not-so-common a creature to contemplate, and the not-so-common interaction between two folks who seem, otherwise, to be "common".

The descriptive language here is incredibly beautiful, and I love the build of the dark undercurrent, the power of what's unsaid. An awesome piece.
