This is awesome! My MIL has Alzheimer's...mid to later stage. She has to be fed now. I can totally relate to this. AW

Oh, how sweet! Perfectly captures the feeling she has for him as well as the way that memories can return with the most surprising triggers amongst those suffering from Alzheimer's or senile dementia.

This is beautiful - that opening paragraph in particular is such a terrific visual image that moves in and in and then the oatmeal is just heartbreaking.

Oh wow, there is an amazing power in music to sometimes bring back strong memories - this is true of certain smells or tastes, too but music seems to be particularly powerful. I mean, its not a magic cure for everything, but its power is undeniable.
