I set it aside, under something, only to get it out after the kids have gone to bed, preferably with a glass of wine. like some porn or high-class smut novel. I lust after the incredibly pretentious clothing and marketing, which normally I hate. But J

Hee~! That's how I feel when the Sundance catalogue arrives. AARGH!!! And don't forget - ebay is good for this stuff - next season.

Now, I'm an avowed shoe whore - but I think you CAN find similar espadrilles elsewhere for much less.

Crew has changed a bit over the years, and, of course, I've got older. I think that shirtdress is adorable, but somehow couldn't begin to justify wearing it at 49-going-on-50 (it would look luscious on you ... how's that for enabling?). I've entered a slightly different demographic I think, and while that doesn't mean I've made the leap to mix-and-match polyester, I have definitely grown more minimalist and flowy in my clothing styles, with lots more black, so I don't need to worry about things matching. ;)

my ex-husband worked there for a while, back in the early 90s--they gave employees certificates to buy their clothes, I think it was something like $500 a season. He was in clotheshorse heaven, whereas I never even went in the store b/c the clothing is not made for bodies like mine.
