Last night we went to see The Raveonettes at the Doug Fir.
Not so great bus karma...but it was a fabulous show. Didn't

Love the video. Defintely a very 50s vibe with their music.
I think fashion cycles so yes, in a way, we are doomed to history repeating.

I completely understand what you are saying with that fashion thing - I went to a club for my partner's gig a couple of weeks ago and every single little 18-22 year old were fully decked out in an 80's mum & dad BBQ outfits! It was freaking me out - I wanted to quiz them as to where the hell they found such things and what compelled them to do so - and I am serious - I saw a young boy in a grass green baggy t-shirt with a big chunky rhinestone neck pattern around it!
and a girl in a large multicoloured square pattern checker overall jumpsuit!
ahhhhhhhhh!!

I never understood why she didn't go for the bartender in the end...but then again...maybe laying on a table after closing is an invitation?!?!?!!

I was into the 50s when I was younger...I know that stung with my folks a bit...although they loved the fact that I knew all the songs by heart. still do!

this is a weird age, ours.....it is. everything being retro and all. :/
