Some of these pictures feature in the latest edition of L'Uomo Vogue (I picked up a copy at Rome airport last week) but don't remember seeing the rest of them. Where do they come from? They're lovely.

so a european holiday with you would be sitting quietly or sprawling ourselves, in a saturnine, almost misanthropic manner, within these stately rooms... not speaking or looking at each other? ha! I'd go! All I can afford presently is the walking up and down weathered steps vacation in the 17th photo! :D

Any information at all about the painting in the first photo? It is absolutely mesmerizing. I am going to be haunted forever if I can't locate the source of that painting!
