I've lost beloved celebrities before, but I don't think I ever cried over one; there was always a distance that grief couldn't bridge. But when I read about Carrie Fisher this afternoon, even though it wasn't such a surprise, given her heart attack a few days ago, I just curled up and sobbed. You should, especially the first one - "Wishful Drinking," I think. The second one as also good, but it as more of a follow-up to the first. I recommend the audiobook, since she narrates it and she's freaking hilarious.

I've never read or watched "Postcards from the Edge" but I should.

I was at the mall when I passed by a big screen tv in one of those sitting areas peppered around the place. I saw the headline at the bottom and I literally stopped in my tracks, mouth open, not daring to breathe. It just didn't seem possible - she was doing better, wasn't she? How could she be gone? I just ... my heart aches so much right now, I can't even handle it.

♥ I'm so glad we got to see Rogue One together before this happened. I'm so glad we got to see General Leia together last year in The Force Awakens. This one hurts a lot. ♥
