So my first little chick steps off the nest tomorrow and enters the world of public school institutionalization. She is excited, but a little bit nervous. Did she get the chicken pox vax?
Do they itch? Are they blisters? Do they weep and crust?
Has she worn any new shirts straight from the store without being washed first?

She got the first shot in the series about a month ago. Oddly, she had a huge welt on her leg from that shot the next day.
They do itch but no blisters. They really look more like hives or mosquito bites than chicken pox e.g. don't have pimple tops. No weeping, no crusting.
And no, no new shirts or clothes lately.
Very weird.

Fleas, maybe? Just one or two fleas can screw up someone who is sensitive to their bites. Have you guys been to anyone's home who has pets?
Poor, poor kid. I'm sure it's nothing dangerous but I know it's frustrating.
