My New Year's Resolution is to stop applying for jobs

Weird resolution, huh? I interviewed for three jobs in the past year and didn't get any of them. Yeah yeah the economy is rough, there are so many people out there looking for jobs that you have to be EXACTLY what they're looking for to have a hope. Also, I really suck at interviewing. Check with the local kid/parent magazines and offer to do a trade deal where you do an advice column in exchange for advertising -- either a small ad or just your contact info on the column. Mock up a couple of columns and send it to them. Those little free publications are starving for writers and pay next to nothing. They would probably jump at the chance for some intelligent content.
