title. all along (a stanford fic) rating. 14a for Sam/Dean preslash/slash. notes. 650 words of untitled (a stanford fic) accompanyment for anteka's birthday. Listening to Our Lady Peace - 4 A.M. is highly recommended.
I love that Dean loves/gets Baudrillard. And I love that Sam doesn't care if he gets kicked out of a class, because Dean is much more important than behaviourism.
Ever since I wrote untitled way back, Dean and Baudrillard have been aligned somehow, in my head. I don't even know how, really. Maybe because Disneyland isn't paradise? I don't know. ;)
"Sam’s hand was at Dean’s belt, thumb and forefinger rucked up under Dean’s shirt, cold against bare skin. Dean was flushed, eyes bright with everything he was thinking and Sam kind of never wanted that to go away."
Ummm, YEAH. Like that. I kind of never want you to go away either. *again with the happy sighing*
I guess I'll go share with my FList. I'm very magnanimous that way. *L*
i did something that may have been stupid and instead of digging up my baby hard drive to listen to "4 AM" along with this, but i had this Mark Lanegan song that i just downloaded on and couldn't bear to (a) stop reading or (b) change the song. (Mark Lanegan's voice turns my heart to syrup, oh man.) so hilariously, i might have totally missed your tone here, because...well, you'll hear the song.
as always, all the little details are just perfect, the kind of things that are going to wriggle into my mind and stay there. especially this--Dean’s thumb was in the shot, and Sam could read every whorl. Got it. Coming home. which defines their particular closeness so well, and then it's combined with ambush-by-Justin-Timberlake and Sam's yeah-fine-whatever calm about being threatened with being kicked out of class, because Dean's safe and he's coming home and rhesus monkeys are so utterly secondary
( ... )
I listened to the song when you posted it - I like it! :)
I like to think that even though Sam is at school - maybe because Sam's at school? - he places a lot more value on what Dean is doing. Because he understands the risk so much more. That wee section is something I am especially fond of; no idea where it came from but it's pretty. :)
the bonus that Sam's love for him sort of shines out
